A mono block amplifier is a single channel amp, most often used in car stereo systems as part of a dedicated bass system. However, purists will often use two mono block amps to create a stereo system. Because the two amps do not share a common chassis or parts, you will get maximum channel separation, with minimum channel crossover or sympathetic distortion by using two mono block amps instead of one multi-channel amp. Below you will find a link to an assortment of more than 100 of the most popular mono block brands, in sizes ranging from 500 to over 4,000 watts. In order to make an informed decision on what amplifier to purchase, we urge you to first visit the Amplifier Page in our Technical Advice and Assistance section, for a discussion of amplifiers, what they do, what manufacturers claim they do, and what does and does not matter when choosing an amplifier.
