Since 1973, when founder Jim Fosgate put his name on the first real piece of high performance audio equipment built for the car, nothing has been the same. Working in his garage in Arizona, Jim figured out that an amplifierafor that matter, a car audio systemawould have to be dramatically different than what people were listening to in their homes. This meant an amplifier that could run low impedance loads, run in stereo and mono simultaneously, and incorporate a MOSFET design (a small detail that was unknown in the world of audio at the time). Jim also realized that music and the human ear had very different sonic signatures or "curves," which led to innovations in car audio components that today stand at the pinnacle of both competition and audiophile perfection.
Today Rockford FosgateA(r) incorporates some of the most state-of-the-art facilities in the audio business. Best of all, their Amplifiers, Signal Processors and Woofers are designed and engineered in Tempe, Arizona right here in the good ola US of A!
