Remote Control Interfaces PAC Model #SW1-X - Steering Wheel Radio Control Interface This universal "learning" remote allows you to retain the use of steering wheel or rear seat radio controls when replacing the factory head unit. It will interface most aftermarket stereos into most vehicles with steering wheel or rear seat audio controls, and works with virtually all aftermarket radios with wireless infrared remote capability using the common 38-40kHz carrier frequency. It also retains the use of heater control buttons on GM vehicles. The SWI-X is so universal that you only need one SKU# to cover over 95% of the vehicles made from 1986 to current. New vehicles coming out every year? No problem! Never be stuck with a vehicle specific type interface. * Works for all major brand radios, including Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC, Sony, Clarion, Blaupunkt, Eclipse, Panasonic, Rockford, Sanyo or just about any other brand out there. * You can assign the buttons on the steering wheel to any infrared function on the remote, so you are never stuck with specific functions you don't want. * With select Alpine headunits, the SWI-X can be modified to directly plug into the remote port of the Alpine headunit. * Covers Ford, GM, Chrysler / Dodge, Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saab, Toyota, Volkswagan, and Harley Davidson motor cycles. PAC Model #OEM-2 - Factory Sound System Interface A one-piece solution for replacing the radio or adding an amplifier to any factory system. By isolating the system, providing a 4 channel signal level converter, an internal remote trigger and a common ground speaker conversion circuit, the OEM-2 is truly a multi-problem solution. * Adjusts up to 4 channels of signal input from 2 to 60 watts * Isolates the input and output circuits, blocking DC noise and preventing snaps, crackles and pops typical in other products. * Sealed potentiometers prevent circuit-induced distortion and signal drift. * Allows for conversion of floating ground head units to match common ground speakers systems. * Provides an internal trigger to turn on a 2 amp/12 volt power line with a 1second delay for an amplifier or power antenna. * Delivers linear frequency response /-0.5 dB from 20 to 20,000 Hz, for unparalleled sound quality. IMPORTANT
NOTE:
The OS-1will not work with OnStar(r) equipped vehicles
that have factory radios with RDS (Class 2 headunits). Factory radio's
with RDS can be indendified by locating an RDS logo on the front face
of the factory radio. OS-1 currently supports trucks and SUV's from
1996-2001 and 1999-2002 Pontiac Gran Prix.
but not the Grand Prix
with Bose(r)s
.

* Safe
& Sound Class 2 circuitry will not disable vehicle data bus even
if interface loses power.
NOTE: These headunits have only 3 EQ settings. If the unit has only 5 or more EQ settings, then the OS-2BOSE is required. First half of 2004 have 5or more EQ settings and second half of 2004 use only 3 EQ settings. 2. The OS-2 does not retain the factory XM receiver, rear seat DVD or the rear center console controls. You will lose the XM/DVD and rear console option when the factory radio is replaced with an aftermarket radio. 3 . If you are not retaining the Bose amplifier, use this OS-2 interface instead of OS-2BOSE interface. CM1 is also required if Bose amp is bypassed. 4. FAQ's about GM's Class 2 here. Note 2: If you take your vehicle to the GM dealer to have it upgraded with a new software update, please remove this product prior to going to the GM Dealer. The reason is that the product does not go into offline mode which will show as an error to the scan tool the dealer uses.

* OnStar(r)
Volume control via factory steering wheel audio controls on selected
vehicles*. Radio controls can be retained to control new radio by
using PAC's SWI-X.
NOTE: These headunits have 5 or more EQ settings. If the unit has only 3, then the OS-2 and CM1 are required. First half of 2004 have 5or more EQ settings and second half of 2004 use only 3 EQ settings. 2 . The OS-2Bose(r) does not retain the factory XM receiver, rear seat DVD or the rear center console controls. You will lose the XM/DVD and rear console option when the factory radio is replaced with an aftermarket radio. 3. If the factory Bose(r) amplifier is not being used, use the OS-2 interface. 4. *These vehicles have a premium Bose(r) amp that only accepts 2 channel audio inputs. The aftermarket radio will not fade, however it will still continue to balance. 5. You may use this interface even if the vehicle does not have OnStar(r) but need to interface the Bose(r) amplifier. Note 2: If you take your vehicle to the GM dealer to have it upgraded with a new software update, please remove this product prior to going to the GM Dealer. The reason is that the product does not go into offline mode which will show as an error to the scan tool the dealer uses.
